About Me
Welcome to My Corner of the World I’m Annie Branson, and this is where I share the roads that shaped me—and help you find the ones that will shape you.
How i started Traveling
How I started traveling is a story I still tell with a half-smile. I grew up in Adelaide, Australia, the kind of place that feels wide open yet quietly contained. At twenty-two I sold everything that wouldn’t fit in a backpack, bought a one-way ticket to Bangkok, and told myself I’d be gone for three months. Fifteen years later I had stood on every continent. I learned to read the wind in the Andes the way the locals did. I slept under the northern lights in a Swedish wilderness hut so remote the silence itself felt alive. I crossed the Empty Quarter of Arabia by camel when the roads disappeared into sand. I surfed wild Tasmanian beaches, cooked injera with women in the Ethiopian highlands, and lived for weeks with a reindeer-herding family above the Arctic Circle. Antarctica came last—an expedition ship, mornings so cold the air burned, and the quiet certainty that the circle was finally complete. What stayed with me was never the stamp in the passport. It was the way people opened their doors when I asked the right questions, stayed long enough to notice the rhythm of a place, and left something better than I found it. I helped rebuild a school after a cyclone in Vanuatu. I sat with elders in the Australian outback recording stories that were disappearing. Adventure, for me, was never about conquering landscapes. It was about belonging to them for a while. Then the restlessness softened. After a final season in Patagonia I came home to the New South Wales coast and chose stillness. I had collected experiences the way some people collect furniture. At some point you stop acquiring and start sharing the rooms. That is why this site exists.

Create your own Story
Here I help travelers—whether you have two weeks or two years, a tight budget or room to roam—find the places and options that actually fit your life. Not the Instagram version. The real one. I will show you how to taste a city through its markets instead of its monuments, how to choose the right trail for the time you have, how to travel with curiosity instead of a checklist. I will point you toward the quiet corners that still feel undiscovered and the practical details that turn a good trip into a great one. You do not need to circle the planet the way I did. You only need to look closely, listen longer, and carry other people’s stories with care. I have walked the long roads so you can choose the ones that matter most to you. Come in. Tell me where you want to go, what you hope to feel, how much time and freedom you have. Together we will find the journey that is waiting for you. This is my invitation. Welcome.

Finding your way through the USA
Where in the United States would you like to travel? Is it the red-rock silence of the Southwest, the misty forests of the Pacific Northwest, the energy of New York, the slow rivers of the South, or somewhere you haven’t quite named yet? Tell me the place that keeps calling you—and please share your specific budget constraints. Are you working with under $1,000 for a long weekend? $1,500–$3,000 for a solid week? $4,000–$7,000 for two weeks with a little breathing room? Or something tighter, like $80 a day all-in, or more flexible at $250 a day? Whatever the number, I promise I will dig in and find the best places, the smartest routes, the hidden stays, free or low-cost experiences, and local options that will stretch every dollar and deepen every day. No inflated lists. No generic itineraries. Just the real choices that let you feel the heart of a place without emptying your wallet. Your trip. Your exact budget. Maximized. I’m ready when you are.
